Steel vs Aluminum Horse Stalls
Steel stalls always rust. Paint, galvanize coating, galvalume and powder coating can’t stop rust. They only slow it down. Horses chew; equipment scratches bars & rails and rusting starts. Once rusting starts, it’s only a matter of time before an investment in steel is destroyed. ARC stalls have aluminum grills that never rust.
Competitive stalls come only with the thin wall bar shown. ARC offers 2 choices — our standard heavy duty or optional Beam-Brace bar internally strengthened with engineered beams.
- ARC bars are much heavier making them stronger.
- ARC bars use a harder alloy further enhancing their strength.
- ARC bars are spaced closer together to be safer for your horses.

ARC Heavy-Duty stall bars are .073. That’s 44% heavier, and our high-strength, high-temper alloy adds an additional 25% to the strength.
You may also choose the optional Beam-Brace bar. The .150 internal beams are the ideal way to get massive additional strength.
